WordPress as a Notepad?

Yes I did it!

Every day information is coming from all over the place - how do you stay organized?

I could use OutLook, Thunderbird or some type of notepad to keep it all together, but that means opening up the application, opening files, hunting for files and voila ... getting the information I need.

Why not try using WordPress as a notepad?!?

Not online, but localhost. You will need to have PHP & MySQL installed on your personal computer and this is part of the strategy to try to keep things organized (just like keeping all your passwords in one place).

First off, if you're running Windows XP home, then you have more challenges.

No more, I've been using Sokkit for a number of years as a localhost webserver with PHP & MySQL. Cuts development time in half. No need to upload files to server and keep checking output on server. You can do it all locally on your machine.

Your webserver is for yourself, that's it, nothing fancy about that.

Why do it this way?

You can categories your notes, view your postings by dates, search for keyword in your posts and more. Best of all, it's fast, easy to use and gives you better exposure to WordPress

Have fun!
